Come along for a great afternoon of laughter, friendly competition, and good company at our skittles event on 18th January at The Black Horse, West Tytherley. Whether you’re a skittles pro or just fancy a relaxed day out, everyone is welcome. Grab a drink, have a go, and enjoy a classic pub game in a brilliant setting – we’d love to see you there!

Join us for a great weekend at the GS Register Rhino Rally, taking place 20–22 February! Expect plenty of GS chat, and a relaxed, sociable atmosphere. You’ll need to make your own arrangements for camping or B&B, but the rest is all about enjoying the rally, meeting fellow members, and having a cracking time together. Whether you stay for one night or the whole weekend, we’d love you to be part of it!

🎳 Ten Pin Bowling – Oxford vs Southern Section 🎳
Join us for a great morning of friendly rivalry and plenty of laughs at the annual Ten Pin Bowling match between the Oxford and Southern Sections on 22nd February at Bowl Central 65, Reading, Berkshire. The lanes are booked for a 10:30 start and the match will last around one hour. Food and drink are available at the venue, or you’re welcome to make your own arrangements. Whether you’re a bowling ace or just in it for the fun, come along and support the Southern Section.

Winter Talks
The BMW Club Southern Section runs its Winter Talks in January, February, and March—perfect for when the weather isn’t great for getting out on the bike. The events cover a mix of interesting topics, from road safety and security to motorcycling adventures and vintage bikes. There’s also a Bring & Buy sale at each talk, 10% of the proceeds going to the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. Club Members are welcome to join us for refreshments before each talk.

Join the BMW Club Southern Section for a relaxed Breakfast Meet at Wilton House Garden Centre, Wilton (near Salisbury). Whether you fancy a full English or something lighter, with coffee or tea to hand, it’s the perfect way to start the day in good company. It’s time once again for our ever-popular Soup & Cake Run! Join us on 12th April for a relaxed ride out, good company, and the all-important reward at the end – delicious homemade soup and cake at Park Farm, Arundel. 🏍️⛰️ GS Register Tour of the Picos ⛰️🏍️
Join the GS Register for an unforgettable adventure from 1st–10th June 2026, exploring the stunning Picos de Europa in northern Spain.
Travelling Portsmouth to Bilbao, the tour is based in Oviedo, with daily rides through the mountains and some of the best roads Spain has to offer. The return journey is Santander to Portsmouth.

Slot Car Racing

🏁 Slot Car Racing & Bacon Butties! 🏁
Start your day the fun way with Slot Car Racing at Pinewood Raceway, Wokingham, kicking off at 10am. Enjoy around 90 minutes of racing within a 2-hour session, plus the all-important bacon butty to keep you fuelled! It’s a great mix of friendly competition, laughs, and good company. The Annual General Meeting of The BMW Motorcycle Club will take place on Saturday 25th April 2026 at the Canberra Club, Blackburn, BB2 7LF. Registration opens at 10:00hrs, with the meeting starting at 11:30hrs.
The AGM is your chance to hear what’s been happening across the Club, find out what’s planned for the year ahead, and have your say. For full venue details, please see the advertisements in The Journal and on the Club website. We hope to see plenty of Southern Section members there!

Join thousands of fellow riders at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu for this ever-popular biking event in the heart of the New Forest. Beaulieu Bikers’ Day is open to all makes, models and ages of motorcycle, so everyone is welcome. Ride in, park up and enjoy a relaxed day admiring a fantastic variety of bikes, chatting with other enthusiasts and taking in all that Beaulieu has to offer. It’s a great atmosphere and always a highlight of the biking calendar. A brilliant day out – just turn up and enjoy! 👍

⛺🏍️ Sixpenny Handley Camping Weekend 🏍️⛺
2nd–5th July 2026
Join the Southern Section for a relaxing summer camping weekend at Sixpenny Handley. Whether you're camping for the whole weekend or just dropping in to say hello, it's a great opportunity to enjoy good company, great conversation and a laid-back atmosphere.
There will be an organised walk on Friday, and while the campsite restaurant won't be open, a food van will be available on Friday evening, along with the campsite bar.
On Saturday 4th July, the village's Summer Celebration takes place on the playing fields, featuring a bar, BBQ and live music – perfect for a summer evening with friends.
A great weekend of camping, socialising and enjoying the Dorset countryside. We hope to see you there!

Brooklands Motorcycle Day
🏍️🏛️ Brooklands Motorcycle Day – 5th July 2026 🏛️🏍️
Join us for a fantastic day out at Brooklands Museum's Motorcycle Day, celebrating all things two-wheeled at the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation.
Admire a huge display of motorcycles, enjoy the excitement of Test Hill ascents and race starts, browse the food stalls and soak up the atmosphere with entertainment throughout the day.
The event runs from 10am to 5pm, with free parking, and is included with normal museum admission.
Whether you're a fan of classic bikes, modern machines or simply enjoy a great day out with fellow enthusiasts, Brooklands Motorcycle Day is always well worth a visit.
